The second wine of the Margaux estate La Tour de Mons. A blend of Merlot (the dominant varietal), Cabernet-Sauvignon and Petit-Verdot grapes that are hand harvested and sorted rigorously . Parcel by parcel vinifications in thermoregulated stainless steel and an elevage of 12 months in oak barriques ensure that this wine is charming in its youth and after a decade or so in the cellar. The nose is marked by fruit that is also apparent on the palate. This is a plum and dried fruit with fresh-herb undertones. Medium body, fine tannins and a juicy finish. Food pairing: Beef, lamb, poultry and cheese. Pair with meats served with a sauce.
